For one East Coast family, a Wyoming hiking trip turned into a life-changing experience. The family discovered a lush property available for purchase and was moved to acquire it on the spot, eventually building their western retreat.

Wild Away rests at the foot of the Tetons. A long drive opens into a meadow of wildflowers, and Fish Creek meanders through the property. This sanctuary is at peace with its surroundings. Natural materials and continental influences are the foundation of the home.

Sharing this getaway with friends and family was a leading priority in the design. We created an intuitive environment for entertaining. The arrangement of furnishings is flexible and easy to adjust for whatever social occasion arises, whether it’s après-skiing, fishing or simply enjoying a home-cooked meal together.

Casual elegance mingles throughout the living areas. The patina of 18th century objects curated from Italy and France juxtaposed with modern amenities deepens the home’s character.

The raw and rugged character of natural stone contrasts with the smooth finish of Italian marble in the master shower.
The rooms embrace the landscape’s most distinctive features. A tree form supports a winding staircase and nature’s influence is evident in the textures and tones of every room.
