Nestled in a classic, pre-war building, this high-rise apartment overlooks New York’s famed Central Park. The city’s storied skyline peeps through multiple exposures and serves as the focal point of the interiors.

Art House is a glamorous retreat and full-time residence for a young working family. Starting with a blank canvas, we curated every piece of art, establishing a permanent collection of rare and treasured work from around the world. Conversation graciously flows in the main room with a long sofa and flexible seating. Two chairs, finished in alpaca bouclé, offer intimate views of the city from the window seat.

The family’s love of fashion is evident in the edited choice of fabrics, patterns and finishes. Traces of high polish, reflective materials paired with buttery leathers and smooth velvets distinguish the living areas. Venetian plaster and contemporary wall coverings introduce texture that carries from room to room. Deep jewel tone accents punctuate an overarching neutral palette for a subtle sense of opulence.
